Why invert the colors of a video file?
Inverting the colors of a video file transforms the visual data into its negative image, flipping brightness values and swapping hues for their chromatic complements—such as turning white to black and blue to orange. While often used as a creative tool to evoke a surreal, psychological, or otherworldly atmosphere in film and music videos, you should also consider this technique for its practical accessibility benefits. Inverting colors can significantly reduce eye strain in low-light environments by eliminating harsh white backgrounds (simulating a "dark mode") and can assist viewers with specific visual impairments, such as photophobia or cataracts, by creating a high-contrast viewing experience that makes details easier to distinguish.
